Conference Venue
The Conference venue, Kitakyushu International Conference Center (KICC) is located in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka, which is famous for the fact that modern industries were initiated in Meiji Era (1868-1912) after Edo Era (1603-1867) of Tokugawa Shoguns. Foundation of The Imperial Steel Works, Japan (National made steelmaking company founded in 1901) in Yahata district, Kitakyushu was essential for the development of industries in Japan. (Current name of this company is Nippon Steel Corporation.)
KICC is located in front of JR (Japan Railway) Kokura Station of Shinkansen and local lines, just a few minutes’ walk. You can easily visit a lot of interesting areas on foot, by “monorail” or train in Kitakyushu area. There are a lot of interesting places in Fukuoka and other prefectures in Kyushu area, such as Nagasaki, Beppu (Oita Pref.), Volcanos Aso (Kumamoto Pref.), and Volcano Sakurajima (Kagoshima Pref.).
