Shinkansen is very convenient for the transportation between many cities ranging from Aomori (north Japan) to Kagoshima (southwest Japan). For the transportation in Japan by Shinkansen and local lines, Japan Rail Pass (JR Pass) is a very convenient ticket that can be used only by the ”temporary visitors” to Japan, and it costs JPY 50,000 for a 7 day-trip on ordinary cars.
Typical Shinkansen route between Fukuoka and many cities is illustrated below, together with the connection between Shinkansen and Airports.
